How much profit will I make each month?

Your income is generated by the number of business sponsors you sign and what you charge per basket. Our program gives you the information to set your pricing ($4, $5, or $6 per basket) based on your community demographics.

Can I have multiple territories?
 

Absolutely! Dawn started with three territories right from the beginning. Many sponsors advertise in all three territories, especially service industries, restaurants, and entertainment businesses. With one contract signing, you can gain three times your profit. It grows that quickly!

Here's how multiple territories multiply your income:

Using the same example above with 3 territories:

  1. You have signed 40 business sponsors across 3 territories

  2. Each sponsor pays $4 per basket per month

  3. You deliver 90 baskets total (30 per territory)

40 sponsors × $4 per basket × 90 baskets = $14,400 per month!
 

What is the Return on Investment (ROI)?

You could make your money back with the very first business you walk into. It only takes ONE sponsor to cover your investment!
 

Here's the math: One sponsor at $4 per basket (our lowest price point today) × 30 deliveries × 12 months = $1,440. Your kit costs $647. That's $793 profit from just ONE sponsor in your first year.

But let's look at what's really possible when you take action.

Real Example from 2009:

Dawn signed 60 businesses in her very first 60 days. Back in 2009, during the recession, she was charging the lower price of $3 per basket because of the economy at that time.

🗺 Starting Your Journey - Money, Time & Your First Steps

How much money do I need to start this business?

I can tell you I started on a shoestring. I had no money left. I had 60 days left of unemployment as a single mother with a very high mortgage. I bought baskets at thrift shops for display. We didn't have business cards, just our sponsor letter. We made up sample gifts and gift certificates, created our display basket, and started selling. Once new businesses came in, we asked for additional marketing products to put into our sales basket. So, it was just my time and gas. That was it.
 

How do I get started selling?

It's simpler than you think! Here's what you really need to get started:

  • Buy a beautiful basket for your sales display

  • Get some cellophane bags or organza bags to make sample gifts

  • Print sample gift certificates and add a promotional item in each bag

  • Print your sponsor letters

Once you have your display basket looking beautiful, you can start selling.

What about the delivery containers? Do I need expensive baskets?

Great question! In the beginning, we would go to the door with our wicker baskets. Once inside the house, every one of our grocery stores in each territory gave us nice woven bags. After we talked about the business, we'd put everything in that woven bag and take our wicker basket with us.

But we found having to switch out boxes or baskets during winter time cumbersome in the car. So, we switched to buying beautiful seasonally colored containers from Dollar Tree to display and give to the new homeowner. They're gorgeous, affordable, and new homeowners love them!

How will I receive my digital files?

Your digital files will be delivered to you immediately after purchase.

IMPORTANT: Keep your files secure! We recommend downloading everything to your computer and keeping a backup on a jump drive or external hard drive. We do NOT resend files if they are lost, so please keep them safe!

 

Can I run this business part time?

Absolutely! If you want to work part time and don't want to hire help, the Premium Gift Box Service is your perfect solution.

What if I'm not a "natural salesperson"?

Have you ever seen the movie, Tommy Boy? I WAS Tommy Boy.

I never did sales one day in my life. I've always been a technical person. I worked in the highly technical aspects of printing. I will not lie: I was freaked out in the beginning about selling. I read every book on how to sell I could get my hands on. But then it was time to actually go out there.

Here's what I learned quickly: People aren't buying slick sales tactics. They're buying your passion to help them. That's what they're buying: your genuine belief in what you're offering.

Remember that scene in Tommy Boy where he tells the waitress, "Helen, we're both in sales. Let me tell you why I SUCK as a salesman"? He wasn't smooth. He wasn't polished. But he was REAL. He got on her level, connected with her genuinely, and she helped him get his chicken wings after hours, something that normally wasn't allowed.

That's exactly how this business works.

If I had to go sell for someone else, I could never do it. But this? This was an easy sell because:

  • You're passionate about helping your sponsors succeed

  • You actually DO what you say you're going to do

  • You understand how amazing this program truly is

How do I handle rejection?

Here's the mindset shift that changes everything: You're looking for the exclusive sponsor in each category.

If one business doesn't see the value, that's okay. You simply move on to find the right fit.

Exclusivity is your secret weapon. When you explain to businesses that you only work with ONE auto repair shop, ONE landscaper, ONE salon, they understand immediately that this isn't just another advertising opportunity. They'll be the ONLY business in their category reaching these new homeowners.

That exclusivity makes them pause and think: "If I don't do this, someone else in my industry will." You're not pressuring them. You're simply offering something valuable, and they naturally realize the opportunity.

Here's the truth: Not every business will say yes, and that's perfectly fine. Move on to the next one. It's easier to get another sponsor than you think because there are multiple businesses in every category.

The right sponsors, the ones who get it, who see the value, who want to be part of something bigger, those are your people. Focus on them.

And remember:

by the time you've signed 20 sponsors, you'll have your pitch down cold. You'll know what works. You'll believe in yourself because you'll have proof.
 

How do I find sponsors?

There are many different ways to find and obtain sponsors. Our program teaches you via digital files and audio training exactly how to attain sponsors. We also include powerful personalized greeting card samples with professionally branded Hometown Hello photos and verbiage so you can generate warm leads to potential sponsors (optional).

💼 Running Your Business - Profit, Balance & Daily Operations

How many sponsors do I need to be profitable?

You're profitable with your very first sponsor! Remember, one sponsor for 6 or 12 months pays for your entire kit investment.

But to build a sustainable income, most representatives aim for 40 to 60 sponsors. That's the sweet spot where you're earning great money without being overwhelmed.

What happens if a sponsor doesn't renew their contract?

You thank them very kindly and you go find a business that fits that niche. It's as simple as that.

Once you know what you have, which is far above anything else as far as marketing goes, you realize that word of mouth marketing is the most powerful marketing in the world.

When you're going to these new homeowners and delivering all these gifts and gift certificates that blow them away, it's powerful.
 

How do I balance finding new sponsors vs. servicing existing ones?

This is covered extensively in the FAQ document and training materials. The key is systems. Once your baskets are assembled and your delivery schedule is set, the servicing becomes routine. That frees you up to continue growing your sponsor base.

 

Do I need a computer?

Yes, you will need a computer. You need to correspond with your clients, look up businesses, send delivery lists to your sponsors, create gift certificates, and manage many other aspects of the business.

Your computer must be able to open:

  • PDF files (for viewing training documents and materials)

  • Excel files (for tracking sponsors, deliveries, and bookkeeping)

But here's the good news: You don't need any particular software or expensive programs. Most computers come with PDF readers and Excel (or free alternatives like Google Sheets) already installed. Everything you need is either included in this kit or available for free online. Just a basic computer with internet access and you're good to go!

Here's my suggestion: Start with at least TWO back-to-back territories right from the beginning.

Work those two territories, get your systems in place, and build your sponsor base. Once you feel like you have the time and want to bring on another territory, then go for it.

When to add a THIRD (or more) territory:

When your first two territories are running smoothly with consistent sponsors, regular deliveries, and solid systems in place, that's when you're ready to expand further.

Remember: Many sponsors will want to be in multiple territories, so expansion happens faster than you think!
 

When should I hire my first delivery person or sales rep?

This is covered in detail in your training materials and FAQ document. Generally, you'll want to hire when you have solid systems in place and you're ready to focus more on sales and growing bigger. If you want to spend your time signing new sponsors rather than doing deliveries, that's when it's time to bring on help.

Why is this called Hometown Hello instead of Celebrate Home?

When I relaunched this business in 2026, I chose a new name for several important reasons:
 

Fresh Start: In 2020, no one renewed their exclusive annual territory fee due to COVID. Combined with losing my eyesight, I wanted to mark this relaunch as a new chapter, not just for me, but for everyone joining the program.

Better Branding: "Hometown Hello" immediately tells people what we do. We welcome people to their hometown! It's clearer and more memorable than Celebrate Home ever was.

Freedom to Brand Your Way: Representatives can now choose to brand as "Hometown Hello [Your City]" or create their own completely unique business name. This flexibility gives you more options to stand out in your local market.

A Note About Our Former Celebrate Home Territories:

When I first launched my original program, Celebrate Home, I sold territories with a onetime exclusivity fee. The idea was that someone could buy their area once and have it protected as "theirs" for as long as they wanted to run the business.

Over time, I learned something important: many people loved the idea of the business but never actually launched. That meant some territories were technically "taken" but no one was serving the local small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and new homeowners there. The opportunity and the community were just sitting unused.

Because of that, I later updated my contracts to an annual exclusivity fee model so only active owners who renewed each year kept their territory.

The only territories still running active are the legacy local areas in Kenosha, Racine, and Walworth Counties in Wisconsin, which are still honored under my prior agreement.

IMPORTANT: These three Wisconsin counties (Kenosha, Racine, Walworth) are protected territories. No one can purchase or operate a Hometown Hello business in these counties.
